Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Bobbin
We felt it was important to make a bobbin that was not just a memorial but would commemorate, even celebrate the life of Queen Elizabeth. This intricate bobbin design takes its inspiration from the Imperial Crown and the flowers that were so prominent on the day. Known for her love of colour, the bobbin references the beautiful variety of pink blooms chosen for the Queen as well as the significance of the rosemary, the oak leaves and the myrtle that accompanied her on her final journey.

This is one of the most intricate designs I’ve made in the last thirty years, but I hope it is a fitting tribute to an extraordinary woman.

This bobbin design is inspired by the Royal Sceptre and is decorated with the King's cypher.
The decoration also includes the key elements of the Coronation emblem; English Rose, Welsh Daffodil, Scottish Thistle & Irish Shamrock, all intertwined with gold ornamentation.
